1960s Italian Sportbike Collector’s Dream! Very rare and desirable early 1960s (not sure of year) Aermacchi Ala Azzura street legal (in England) 250cc 4-stroke cafe racer motorcycle. The Harley Sprint and factory racer CR250 models evolved from this. I bought this a year or so ago with the intent of sorting it out and using it to compete in the Moto Giro as well as occasional classic racing with AHRMA and/or USCRA but realize I have too many other motorcycle projects. So I am selling it. This is what I know about the machine: I bought it from an American who imported it from England a few years ago. Even though it did not have a headlight it was legal for road use in the UK and it still have the British paperwork for it as well as the license plate assigned to it in England. The seller told me he had it running when it arrived here in the US. He has not tried to start it since.
