This is a fully custom 1 of a kind XS 400 with a clear title in my name. The frame is a 78, motor, 79 and the odometer only had 3200 miles on it when I pulled to motor. The motor does run and before I installed it in this bike I replaced both exhaust valves and piston rings to give it a fresh top end. The front end is off a XS 650 along with XS 650 front and rear wheel both with disc brakes. The swing arm is from a 2004 YZ 450 dirt bike along with the rear shock. This is being sold as a project, currently it does not run, BUT I have everything you need to complete the project. Main reason I’m selling it is I have WAY to many projects and this has taken a back seat for quite some time. So I’ve decided to cut my losses and allow someone to get a sweet deal!! Build Process: -After the mock up was complete I tore everything down and had the frame, wheels, and tank POWDER COATED. -Custom Pin Stripe on the tank and rear section by Ken Smith in Ft. Worth -I replaced all bearings. -Cleaned or replaced all hardware with stainless steel. -Polished all motor side covers and POWDER COATED clear. -Built a custom seat and had it professionally covered. What is Left: -Wrap or ceramic coat exhaust ( I tried to ceramic coat myself and it’s chipping off) -Install new split carb cable (provided) or re jet the other set of slide carb and install (carbs and jet kits provided) -Light amount of electrical -Bleed the brakes -Install clutch cable
