1980 custom build Honda CX500 CAFE RACER 100% Custom Build 1980 Honda CX500 Cafe Racer. The bike is a full frame — off 12 month restoration with no expenses spared. This bike can be easily used for everyday riding. It is light, nimble and unbelievably fun to ride. Breathtaking – this is the most common response you hear from people seeing this build in our showroom. This bike is perfect from top to bottom. Everything on this bike was taken apart, restored or replaced. It was professional build over a 12 month period. To give this bike its unique look the tank was hand – painted by an artist over a three month period. It now has the artists signature pattern and styling that adds a new element to the bike and will never again be re – created. This build is a blend between modern performance, and vintage styling. The frame was first shortened and butted, and had all of the unnecessary tabs and brackets removed before it was sent to powder coat in a layer of classic gloss black. The wheels were also powder coated, but in a semi-gloss to give multiple layers of black tones on the bike. The wheels were then wrapped in Firestone rubber, to give it the vintage look it needed to compliment all of the other modern components. Each bend in the exhaust is created by pie – cut 1.75″ stainless steel, and TIG welded for a raw, elemental look. The key – less start is not only a cool gadget but also protects your bike against theft. The mission of this build was to create the cleanest, purest and best performing CX500 cafe racer in the world. Mikuni Carbs Using Mikuni racing carburetors allows for the highest airflow with accurate fuel metering for more power and precise throttle control. An extended main jet and larger needle valve assembly assure maximum fuel flow. MotoGadget Electronics Features the m-Unit V.2, a digital control unit, in which the switching operations are completely digitally controlled by a microprocessor and the latest solid-state technology. Also featured are finely CNC machined m-Switch mini hand controls. Mishimioto Radiator Every Mishimoto aluminum radiator is fully TIG welded for enhanced durability and polished to a mirror finish. An all aluminum radiator provides a significant increase in cooling efficiency, so you can feel confident in increasing the power levels of your vehicle. Yoshimura Exhaust Yoshimura offers outstanding performance, thanks to being developed in the heat of competition. The exhaust shaft features a trapezoidal design, which allows a large volume of packing material and in turn delivers top performance. The exhaust also features a carbon fiber tip.
