This is my Cafe’ version of a bike Honda should have imported to the US, but didn’t. These were primarily sold in Japan, England and I believe Australia for licensing and insurance purposes and thus are rare in America. I first fell in love with the engine, a 399cc, all straight-cut-gear-driven 4-overhead cam, 4-valve, water-cooled 90° V4 putting out 60hp. This is a Japanese Domestic Market bike I acquired in Abbotsford, BC. It has a clear Washington State title with a BC VIN. To research this bike, just Wikipedia it, or plug it into U-Tube to watch Brit squids wheelieing through the gears in traffic. I dropped it one tooth on the countershaft sprocket. It will power-wheelie in first and I’ve achieved 120mph indicated (I weigh 200lbs). It revs freely to 16,000 RPM and makes a sound unlike any you’ve ever heard. What follows is a comprehensive list of improvements/modifications.
